Hi, I have a 980G 2SR 2001 Loader that is not steering accurately. Firstly wheels were steering opposite to the steering wheel direction and now are locked to the right with the steering not wanting to centre even though the steering wheel moves freely. Work that has been done: Machine and reseal of the artic cylinders as they needed work so everything has been replaced in them. Some hoses have been changed and have checked they are correct. Steering pump has been replaced due to old one leaking which was the reason for the work being completed. Park brake adjusted due to not working before. Some troubleshooting ideas would be great.
My first question would be - What's the back story.? Were you brought in at the start or have you been handed the results of someone else's meddling and asked to sort it out.? The one thing that jumps out at me reading that list is the pilot valve. Has it been touched yet.? Attached a document with the basics of how the steering system works.
