Posting for a friend. My friend has a 99 953C that acts like it has high and low range. It starts off running slow. All of a sudden it will speed up to normal speed. It does this in forward and reverse. The other hydraulics work fine with no issues. He talked to the cat dealer and they didn't have any explanation other than to start changing sensors until they find the right one. Also it is not showing any codes. Thanks for you help. Jonathan
Does it respond to travel speed lever movement? If he pushes hard(cutting dirt) does it slow down maintaining engine speed then speed up after the bucket is full and just being carried? Later Bob
I talked to him today. He said the bucket is dumping slow as well. Now it's not going back to normal speed it just moves at about 1/3 speed. Any ideas?
Have him change the Hyd filter and cut it open. Might have a problem with a component failure, Bad news if it is. The hyd system and HYSTAT drive use the same oil. Was this the machinen thaat wouldn't move to get it off the float? Later Bob
