99 Case 90xt skid steer

CASE FREAK ยท 2010-03-11 07:38

Im sorry for being in the wrong section but i just didnt know if any of u know what this problem is. So hi im new here and i have just bought a 99 case 90xt skid steer. It has 2500 miles on it with new paint, new seat, new foam filled tires. I have noticed that when you are not holding the joy sticks at regular or full idel ir creeps to the right. The guy told me when it warms up it stops. All i did was test drove it so far. I think its the linkage between the hydro motors or controller to the joy sticks. Can anyone tell me if this sounds right, or if there is some other prob? How hard is it to fix? Thanks alot also i paid 12,000 for it, did i get ripped? Also did i make a good or stupid choice? Thanks alot yous guys Sincerly, CASE FREAK

That is not a big deal. The sticks just need to be centered. I would assume you mean 2500 hours? 12K may be a good deal depending on condition. The 90XT and 450 is big powerful machine. They hold their value well. I would say you did fine on price if its even in just average mechanical shape.

Thanks KSSS for your feed back. It is in very good condition. Motor is very clean and free of leaks and such, the belly pan is a little rusted but not bad. The only cosmetic thing wrong is in the rear grill there is a big dent from backing into something but thats it. By any chance do u know how much this weighs. I have a 10,000 lb dump trailer for my truck but my ramps are only 7,000 so the guy is going to deliver it for free Sincerly, CASE FREAK

Also does anyone know if i could put a backhoe attachment on it? It has the 2 hydrulic hoses on the left. Is there some kind of special Hi-Flow you need or anything? ~CASE FREAK

The hoses on the left side is your auxilliary hydraulics, for working practically any attachment. I'm not a 90XT expert, but I don't think your machine is "hi flow" aux hydraulics, just standard aux flow. There's only a few attachments that require hi flow, such as a mulching mower. The majority of attatchments only require standard flow auxilliary hyd to operate them.

A '99 90XT could theoretically have either a 3000 psi high flow system or a 5000 psi high flow system. Neither of which you would need nor could you use for a backhoe attachment. They only require a small amount of flow to run, usually the skid steer just idles while running the backhoe attachment.

There ya go. See, told you I wasn't a 90XT expert. LoL

Thanks everyone for your help. The guy i bought it from is getting case to look at it because he says he wouldnt sell it with it creeping cause you could get hurt letting it creep. We told him we could fix it but hes just a nice guy. And we agreed on a price so i dont have to pay for it. Sincely, CASE FREAK

the backhoe is no problem , A friend of mine has a 2003 xt90 with a case bachoe. The entire unit is like new . I think the skidsteer has 800 hours and the backhoe maybe 100 hrs! Good machine , built much better then bobcat!

CASE FREAK, The 90XT weighs about 9K. If your trailer has a net capacity of 10K your fine, if its 10K gross (weight of trailer minus 10K) you will be well overweight. These machines (90 and 95XT) are very heavy. That weight makes them very productive and they are certainly heavy duty skid steers, but they are not as easily transported as smaller and lighter skid steers.

The right side creeps in reverse when you release the parking brake, I removed the linkage from the pump arm and it still creeps. Is there any adjustment to center the pump? It is a sundstrand pump.
