Anybody ever put rear brakes on one of these? Was wondering if the drum is removable type, or do you have pull the axles, drain the fluid, replace the seals, etc, like on an older style truck. If it helps, its the same truck as a cabover W-5500 GM, if I remember the numbers right...:notworthy
I'd bet they're a hub/drum unit. Not outboard like a big truck. Just light enough you can manhandle it off without staining your shorts! The 4500/5500's we had were all one piece. Junkyard
Followup: Got a call from the shop I took the truck to, rear brakes have plenty of shoe, and the drums are removable, without pulling axles. Front pads and calipers need replacing, so the $ is less than expected...
