Yesterday, had a job to do. But CAT 236b Skid steer decided for some reason to not start, just click sound. Battery tested fine, and is trickle charged nightly. Assume the seat or restraint sensor was causing this. Checked all relay connections, opened and reseated. bounced up and down on seat, opened closed restraint several times. Still only a click. After 2 hours of trying, finally decided to disconnect battery cables from battery terminals. Waited 10 seconds to clear out any memory of issue causing no start. Reconnected both terminals. Turned the key, it started like magic. Point of story: Sometimes when a reason for not starting cannot be discovered. Try disconnecting the Battery for 10 seconds, then reconnect: to clear out any issue. Then give it another try. Worked this time. Hope this FYI helps the group.
Could that just have been a bad connection at the battery that you fixed without realizing it?
Not a bad idea that used to be a fix for all kinds of confusing things on Chrysler products it seems the computer would get confused it was well know procedure to unhook battery and hold the cables together to drain the capacitors and reset the computer Hopefully that was your only issue
