Easy is not a word generally used when working on a skid steer. Make sure you have plenty of jic caps and plugs for the hoses and fittings, keeping the dirt out will help prevent you from having to do it again. The service manual puts you through taking the chains off the sprockets but I don't do it that way. The drive sprocket will be supported by both chains. Here is a picture . Use colored tie wraps to mark the hoses and fittings to make it easier to reassemble. Mark the holes where the linkage attaches to the servo valve linkage so you get them in the correct orientation and take pictures if you are unsure. Look at the orientation of the motors as to where the fittings are to make sure you don't put them in wrong (really ruins the day). Before you take out the motors measure between the motor and base plate of the machine and make a wood spacer to set the motor on to slide back into position. Beats the heck out of holding the motor and getting it started in the splines. The tandem pump drive is a fairly fine spline and you need to make sure to get a straight alignment and DO NOT FORCE IT. A couple alignment studs can make it easier. Also use a good removable thread locker for the pump mounting bolts. An overhead chain hoist will suffice along with a couple small chains or cables. when you remove the pump assembly watch out for the pressure sensors that you don't break them. And also it works best to angle the pump assembly with the back end (front of the machine) to the right when removing and installing. This provides a little more clearance. If you are careful removing the sprocket covers (outside) you can save the cost of replacing the rubber sheet.

Thanks Billg. for your reply & advice. Will probably start to disassemble New Years day, if we don't stay out too late tonight. Have a happy New Year, and thanks for the info, Ed.
