I would like to know your opinions about the Blumaq, IPD and CTP brands for motor parts
rebuilt a cat 3306 using ipd parts, still running good so far!! also put in a ctp torque converter in a dozer still pushing without overheating so far . did use ctp injectors in 3306 out of 6 two failed and machine ran like crap. put in all new cat and whole different machine. so moral of the story probably spend the extra money and stay away from aftermarket.
I also used an ipd engine kit in a 3306 cat engine for a bare block rebuild and it is still running after 16 years. the only problem was that the valve cover gasket was too thin and prevented the valve cover from seating. I had to use the thicker 'cat' gasket
