hello from alaska i recently bought this little excavator it has a kubota engine ,it was running fine for a few days, then it just died on me and i cant figure out why,it has clean fuel and the electric fuel pump turns on and pump fuel ,any help would be very appriciated thanks kris
Theres a small round electric solenoid on the end of the fuel pump with 2 wires coming out of it. When they fail and shut the internal fuel in the pump off.Remove the 2 allen bolts and start it with no solenoid, this will either confirm it or be the same. http://www.youtube.com/user/skadill
thank you i will try that, when i get back from fishing...
I pulled the solenoid,it still wouldnt start, and the solenoid does work i saw it click in and out?i also pulled the ruber hose air intake off and sprayed a little starting fluid and it still wouldnt fire, thanks kris..
Does it have compression or crank abnormally fast
I think it sounds about normal, heres the thing that concernes me ,my helper jumped into it and started it and just headed up a steep hill, half way up it died, when i went to check up on it he had it on full throttle,i wonder if the pistons expanded in the cylender bore before thay properly warmed up.cause you would think any diesel engine would fire on starting fluid?
