Takeuchi TB 015 – hand control issues

wayno ยท 2012-09-15 00:18

Hi there Can anyone help with some ideas for me - I have only had this machine for a short time I was using the machine when suddenly all hand controls stopped working. However all bottom controls (eg Tracks and blade etc) are all still working fine. Any ideas where to start to try and repair? thanks

Perhaps possibly you have a non working safety switch, although on my Kubota, the tracks are also locked out when levers up.

The lever activates a switch, you have to find the switch and test it. If you have two safety levers you have two switches.

Going on a vague recollection here, but seems I've worked on a Tak once that safety lever did not lock out drive or blade, only boom functions. Hendrik may be right that you have a problem with safety lock system.

I had a similar problem on an old Takeuchi TL-26. What we finally found was that the safety switch which is activated by having the lever up or down, activates a solenoid on a control valve. My solenoid was bad, and would not allow the valve to open, which would not allow the controls to work. My valve has a manual push button on it which allows the machine controls to work with the button pushed. With the bonnet of the machine up, the valve is on the driver's left hand side in the very front, and at the very bottom of the space. We actually wedged a stick into the button of this valve to allow me to continue working. Good luck.
