Jobs available ad's. When you read some of them its like no wonder no one wants to work for some of those joke outfits. Some of them write a small book, explaining how miserable you will be working for them. Yeah funny stuff. Yeah the way some of them write these ad's, its like they don't want anyone applying for the job. My favorite is when they say "fast paced", personally the better ones say "laid back and friendly atmosphere"
Lean manufacturing... head down, *** up and get it out the door ASAP with no mistakes!
Hey at least they're putting it out there so people can avoid them.

Currently self employed and trying to stay in the part time realm. Loving it after years in the 50-70hr week range. Still check job listings on the regular and glad to see outfits listing $30-60 to start. Guess they finally pretend to offer some better rates to keep folks putting up with corporate BS, GPS AI cameras in rigs and constant UI tests for insurance.
Reno, Nevada/Nevada in general is a gold rush of work,2 of the largest industrial parks, work, work til find no housing or rotten $300wk motel, most companies go through 90day temp agencies bank, mines & dmv benefits including no THC testing. The temp ads requirement & description are a joke.
Keep in mind, those employment adds are often written by 26 year old, nose-ring equipped, gender confused, multi-colored hair, college interns working on their BS in Human Resource Management and SHRM certifications. Checking boxes. Even the HR directors have no idea what the current talent situation is. Just look at the HR people that post on the HEF. Very clueless. Doesn’t matter, because cost cutting practices will move that duty to AI, soon. Already, they are on Linkin looking for a desk job somewhere else. Managers will be moving back to collecting resumes soon, as the recruiting process becomes unbearable and largely useless.
I’m neutral on trade unions. I live in a non-right-to-work state. Surprisingly, the Unions are having much better success at recruiting vs non-union. Some of the big projects around here are surprisingly, well staffed with mechanics and those hard to fill positions.
Realize those kids don't even exist in the hiring pipeline anymore, that's like 2016 complaints. It's mostly AI bots scanning AI resumes at this point.
Right on. I’m so 2016. Pokemon Go. Harambe the gorilla, rocking the skinny jeans and green bomber jackets. I think 2016 could trend again. Just not the mumble rap.
