The fatal falling accident Thursday once again brings home the vulnerability of the people that work in the woods. I was deeply saddened by the total disregard by the media over their report on the news. This tragedy happened in our own back yard and yet their only concern was over the pending hockey strike SHAME ON THEM This happens every time something like this occurs and rather than letting everybody know what happened they dismiss it as if it didn't matter. Well it does matter! The effects something like this has is so dramatic and far reaching that it hits home to everyone of us in the Industry both retired and still working. We all feel the loss. 075 On behalf of all of us over here in the Franklin/Sarita area our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of this fellow.
What happened?
Thanks HDX for speaking out, it dose seem that not enough attention is payed to those who are killed at work. And lately it seems as that to many people are getting killed at work and very little is being said about it, I heard a faller got killed down your way last week falling on private property . Our hearts and sorrow also go out to his Family and friends also. I do hope we get a handle on this soon as one fatality is far too many.
