I have the chance to purchase an American 35A excavator for approx $8K. It aint pretty but all controls work. I would be using it on my acreage to finish a road and dig two stormwater ponds. Anyone out there with info on this big old girl- operation, durability, ease of getting parts. Engine is a Detroit 6V53. Unsure of pumps, motors.
