serial no 3zd00850 ar no 5r7801 with 3306 engine serial no 8z48407 and ar no 5r7776. would like to know what small pipe from muffler to air cleaner does, and does it need to keep it. rotted off and want to just patch hole in muffler,if it will be ok to do so. thank you very much
It acts as a veintury to suck dirt out of the dirt and debris out of the precleaner
That’s the suction pipe for the dust ejector. The exhaust creates a vacuum in that pipe which sucks dust out of the precleaner. You could blank it, but you’ll plug air filters far more often.
