Looking at one on Craigslist that is about 125 miles from me. Machine looks pretty good in the pics, but the seller says that something starts slipping under a hard pull, like grading uphill. It seems that this one has a torque converter. Any of you familiar with those old units, and could venture a guess as to the issue? I know that is not much info, but it is all that I have at this point. I am wondering if a torque converter would even be available, if that ends up being the problem. I may head over there to check it out in person this weekend, but I don't want to waste my time on a lost cause. This would just be an occasional use machine, for maintaining my driveway.
