Hey guys, bought an old (1969ish) Austin Western grader and it's missing the belt on the governor.... It looks like to replace it one must split the transmission from the motor???!! if so I'm wondering if I could run a link belt instead?? :beatsme any help is greatly appreciated!
That sounds like a perfect application for a link belt. A governor should not be much of a load.
I'm planning to try one when mine gives up, so keep us posted how it works out.
