I'd like to hear from guys who have been at companies that use an automated system to track the equipment from acquisition to liquidation, including all documentation, pics, appraisals, refurb/repairs and other details. What worked and what didn't, not interested in the company name, but would like to know the name of the software or system/solution that was used. What kind of operations are best suited for an automated management solution? Prefer recent experiences not older than 10 years so it is still in use. Appreciate any feedback or direction as to where to look, thanks!
Never heard of any automated system for equipment management. You always have data entry, refinement and analysis in order to plan all the various aspects of owning and operating any type of equipment. There are programs that make the process easier but nothing I know of is "automatic."
