hie guys l have a bell 850j dozer the sprockets bolts are keeping on braking.l tried to put new sprocket but it just worked for 2 weeks and it started to brake again,is there anyone who had come across such issue what could be possible causes??.
Did you everything to bare metal ( no paint ,rust ,dirt ,etc)? If not it will get loose.
Are you using Deere parts? I have had issues with sprocket bolts coming loose on 800 series dozers with aftermarket sprockets because of the less than satisfactory machining on them.
Also, are the threaded holes in your hub in good condition? If they are wallowed out, egg-shaped, etc.......they will not stay tight.
It clean l even try and put lock tight
yes l also use aftermarket bolts but l ended up buying original bell bolt but still it wont last
Meaning to say l had to change the hub
If your threaded bolt holes are sound like Vetech said and the flange on the final drive is smooth and undamaged, then the issue is with the parts. You said you switched to Bell bolts, did you switch to Bell sprocket segments? If not you should.
Did you tighten the bolts to specs? Use right grade bolts?
What do the bushings on the track look like?
