Belt routing

Hey all I just got a 05 asv rc 100 skiddy. The belts are old and need to be replaced. I went out this morning to fire it up and pull it into the shop and herd a belt snap. There are two belts. 1 broke and the other was intact. Heres my problem, i took the belt that was still good and took it to NAPA, for them to match. Before i left the house i got on trackloaderparts.com and looked at the diagram to see if it had a belt size or pt#. TLP.com said 2 belts and they are both 1/2 x 48.00 . I took the belt with me to NAPA and they matched it up with a 1/2 x 63. Not a 48 ? Got them back and installed them. Heres the kicker. My asv has an a/c unit. Hint tlp.com said 48" belt (probably for no a/c) and the one i took into napa was routed around the ac compressor, fan, crank pulley and up along the alternator and it was a 63" belt. All the pulleys a/c, fan, crank and alternator have 2 grooves for 2 belts. When i installed the two new 63s i couldn't get the alternator pulley to make good contact with the belt. Fired it up and it seemed to be spinning the alternator. After doing some mulching i noticed the ac blower in the cab getting weak. Kept going for bout another hour and hit the two speed and it wouldn't shift. Pulled back to the shop shut it down and the belts seemed fine. ????? Fired it back up and nada, dead batt. So I'm guessing the belt is not making good enough contact with the alternator. My question is since there are 2 belts dose the smaller one loop the alt, fan and crank and the other loop fan ac alt and crank. Couldn't remember if 2 of the belts hit the ac compressor or just 1. Im thinking thats it but want to double check first. Sorry for being long winded but need to get it fixed asap. Ive searched ALL OVER the web for diagrams on belt routing and didn't find SQUAT. Even tried googling pics of the perkins 1104c-44t motor and still no luck.

I think you've answered your own question. Look for the belt that snapped and measure it if possible, if not get a 48" belt and see if it will fit, bypassing the A/C. You pretty much need a good half wrap on the alternator pulley. Cheers.

Perfect yep that was it. The schematic called for a 48 and yea it won't fit so back to the parts house again got a 50 and a 52. Went with the 50 it worked like a champ. Ran it for 3 hrs this after noon and its back to normal. Thanks
