Bleeding Air from JD 160c Hydraulic Pump

alaskaforby4 · 2016-02-21 12:16

Hello, the main line running to the hydraulic pump have begun to leak no matter how tight the clamps are. I am draining the fluid and replacing hoses and filters, my question is if anyone has a service manual or can explain where bleed screw is and refill procedure? Thanks!

Actually found it in the operators manual

All that does is make sure the pump is full before you start the engine .Cycle the controls , should bleed itself . You may have other problems ?

I’m having a similar issue, cannot seem to bleed the air out without fluid spilling out of bleed valve.

Welcome to HEF 16rj . Apply a slight bit of air pressure to the top of the hydraulic tank to force the oil up and out of the bleed screw opening. Reinstall the bleed screw.
