my 91 d58e komatsu dozer has a crack in the lift valve in the hydraulic tank, had it welded but would not hold. I've been trying to find a used piece but nothing to date. Does anyone know of a komatsu bone yard? I understand there is a way to re-route the piping inside the h-tank but really don't know how. I just can't believe there aren't replacement parts available for this repair. I like this old machine, the motor runs unbeliveably smooth and pushes as hard as any cat. :Banghead
this can be repaired. valve must be pre-heated prior to welding and let to cool at a slow rate.
