got a problem with the tilt /lift start machine every thing works fine for one manuver then it shuts down or with in 30 seconds pedals move and it tries to move engine boggs but nothing happens till i shut it off and restart then the same thing can any one help?
f or g series machine? when it stops working, do not shut the machine off f series machine check the idiot lights on the black box behind your elbow, one or more of them may be flashing g series machine press and hold the light switch, hr meter display will show a 4 digit active fault most likely cause is the bics coil
863 f series 1 light is flashing 3 times on the computer box indicating the lift and tilt icon. but i have the old style i guess i have no digitals and hour meter is mechanical
ok you have a c or f series machine check to see what light is flashing, 3 flash code is "coil shorted to ground" i'm assuming it's the VALVE light thats flashing (since the hyd's stop working) raise the cab, on the control valve there are 3 solenoids, 2 on the top are the aux coils, the bics coil in on the side of the valve, tucked between the tubelines. with the key off, disconnect the harness, with an ohm meter on the coil side of the connector you should read approx 10ohms. i'm willing to bet that either the coil is shorted, or the wires are broken right where they enter the molded coil, either way, you'll need a new coil. hope this helps :drinkup
i just pulled the coil off and it has a crack running down the bottom side where it split i havent ohmed it out but i will shortly in any case you are right i believe and i thank you so much for the reply i will post when i get the new one on it thanks again crew chief
