Bob cat t450 starting troubles

Tharp2219 · 2023-03-10 17:08

Doosan engine. Had a no start condition, replaced all 4 injectors and high pressure fuel pump. Bypassed the fuel cell and filters to rule out fuel line blockages. Will start barely and dies within a couple seconds. I’m at a loss. It’s a 2016 model….any help or ideas would be great.

Also there are zero codes thrown.

Changed injectors and pump but not rail? Remove rail relief hose and verify that you don't have any fuel coming from rail relief valve. Although fuel high side pressure issues would not let it start at all, usually once it's running your good. Try removing drive belt and see if that makes a difference, just removing load.

Zero compression on the 2 cylinders to the far left when looking at engine. Like the needle doesn’t even move. Maybe valve issue? It was running when we shut it off. Sat for 4 months now here we are.

There is no relief hose on the fuel rail. Inlet, four lines to injectors, electrical connection on far right. It all looked fine when taken apart. No metal

Ok, I was thinking of the 3.4 liter, your 2.4 has the relief built into the pump. That will be your problem, a 4 cylinder diesel will barely, if at all, run on 2 cylinders. Two with low compresion side by side could be a badly failed head-gasket.
