Hoping someone can help, Unloaded trackhoe and just stopped moving, added 3 quarts of hyrd, fluid, and changed belt due to it couldnt be adjusted no more, but still nothing, have not used it much the last year was thinking of changing filters again due to it has been about a year, but it does not move at all
If it was that low on oil,1)you need to find/fix the leak (especially if it's on the drives) & 2)Prolly gotta burp the baby. Your owner's manual will have that kind of info. Does anything else work? Boom? Skew? Bucket? Prolly not if the pump(s) are dry. J
yea it runs but nothing moves , i will look up burping, they told me to just let run and it should do it itself
...Burping will be commonly known as 'bleeding the air'. Is the oil level between the high/low marks? BTW what oil did you use? Have fun. J
Check the hyd lockout lever. If it's a newer machine should have electric switch to cut out the pilot system. Don't know your machine but just thinking of others I have seen. Later Bob
That's exactly where i would have started. If the arm is up, it's a little switch inside and a little roller sticking out. Press and hold it and try moving something, it may not be making contact. If not...remove it (easy) and check to see if it's closing the circuit with a multimeter. If this is all functional then i'd start looking at the lock out valve it controls. If the problem was air in the system, the pump will make all kinds of weird and wonderful sounds.
it may have a micro switch (2 wire) as mentioned or it may have a hall effect "switch" the micro switch can be jumped for testing, the hall effect type switch cannot. :drinkup
If nothing moves, including the drive motors, then I think, as the others have already stated, it is in the lockout system. If the drive motors work, and noting else does, I would suggest that maybe the pattern changer lever is stuck between the (2) positions. This can soemtimes happen from accidental contact from the operators heel.
ahh yes that old chest nut! had that one aswell!
