hey guys, first post on the site. site looks great and hoping it helps me in the future i work at a demo company and usally work on trucks. today im on a bobcat 753 skid steer. it will not unlock either the wheels or the bucket/arms. i push the button and hear a thunk like its trying, but nothing. i noticed a box inside the cab that says bobcat interlock control system with 5 LEDS. System activated, seat bar, valve, traction and power. power and traction light up but nothing else. i found a couple fuses in the engine area and they checked out, i also found relays on the other side but dunno which one does what....no diagrams or schematics. so if anyone has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it.
I'd take a look at the sensors that control the interlock system.
Make sure your park brake is releasing fully.
Where exactly are the sensors? Sorry but dont have a manual or anything for this machine
Just an FYI:Since you are working for a company OSHA rules state there MUST be a operators manual in the machine!!! If you don't do the unlock procedure in the correct order it won't work, are you saying it was working and then it quit sometime during when you were using it??? or it just won't unlock the way you're trying to unlock it???
Odd that your traction LED lights up when the seat bar LED is not. Check to see if your machine has a seat switch, those switches were problematic on those machines. Raise the cab and see if there's wire going to a switch mounted on the underside of the pan that the seat is fastened to.
Forgive me for bot knowing much about these machines. I'm assuming t I am not sure to be honost. Came to the shop not working dont know the backround. I will look inside to see if there is a manual and let them know they need one thank you
There is a connector under the cab not connected to anything....looks like its been disconnected for some time....but I will trace it and see where it goes thank you for the insight
correction the connector is on the back of the cab....not under but will trace it today
so the connector is part of the harness that comes from the bobcat interlock control system box. i took the seat out and no wiring or anything to it so im assuming it dosent have a seat sensor. so i am assuming if im missing the lights, i have a bad ground or power supply somewhere. i have no flashes which would indicate a fault code if i read the book right.
