the lever to adjust your speed is stuck i can't get the lever to move. so i,m stuck at going the same speed all the time. how do i fix this?
is the lever pivot rusted, or the cable rusted/siezed? :drinkup
i don't know, is that where i should look first? not sure i know what a lever pivot is or where to look for the cable? i assume its there close to the lever handle.
the throttle handle assembly is bolted to the machine with 2 3/8th" bolts/nuts. remove the lever assy and disconnect it from the cable/linkage, then check to see if the throttle will move. if it doesnt the cable is probably rusted if it does the lever is probably rusted, there are 3 steel washers, and a fibre washer that tensions the lever. :drinkup
On my 843 bobcat I had the problem with throttle getting too loose and the speed not staying constant. On my machine there is a 3/8 bolt that goes thru the pivot connection and it controls the tension on the throttle linkage. I tightened mine a little and put double nut on the threads and is fine.
completely different throttle lever & tensioning system.... single bolt/spring went out of production when the 50 series machines came out... :drinkup
