Was just reading on another post about a strainer on the bottom the fuel pick up tube inside the tank. How does one accomplish removing and cleaning or replacing the strainer? Thanks, Coop
raise the cab and arms depending on the model of machine, the fuel pickup may be between the pumps and engine, under the pumps, in front of the pumps. wille has a very detailed thread on replacing the screen/hose assy somewhere around here.. :drinkup
Yes sir crewchief888, and depending on the model, some no longer use the strainer and flexible tube and use a rigid tube instead, but removal/install is pretty much the same, generally a cuss fest. I'm hoping to add the location of the pickup tube of other Bobcat models as time passes, or if someone else does a different model, by all means, post it at the pickup tube thread. it's only the 1st 1000 or so that are the hard ones, they get a lot easier after that FYI, most of the time, if you see a plastic elbow you'll find a rigid tube in the tank. :drinkup
