Hello out there, im new to this forum and im hopeing to get some help. i got a bobcat S185 and after fixing the chains i put it all back together and the traction lock wont disengage. i checked the relay and fuses. switched the relay with other ones it didnt help. i thought it was the solenoid but i got a new one and it still has the same problem. when i hit the traction button i hear it click and i even pulled it out and plugged it in to see if it was working. when i pulled it out i saw that the "pull" was working but it would let go after a second or 2. i checked the wires they all look good. theres no code either. also what really confuses me is that i checked the volts on it and its getting 13v to the hold... shouldnt it be working if its getting power??
I'm thinking you put the brake solenoid on backwards and the wedge is jam. The mount has a slide tapper to it. It needs go high side forward or it will jam.
i thought of that too but its in the right way i got a book and it shows it should be leaning towards the back and thats the way i have it. before it stopped working completely when i would start it up i had to go backwards to unlock the brake. when we bought it, it did this we never thought anything of it. i dunno if that means anything?
steering is creeping, the brake block is probably up against the disks, the solinoid is making it's pull and hold, the wedge isnt coming up. :drinkup
