2005 S250, 1400 hours, cab, joystick, was working fine & then joystick quit, forward only(on it's own) & to the left, barely runs (650 rpm) boom & tilt still works. Always locked forward & to the left, no acceleration, no neutral, starts this way & can't change anything. Will turnover & start with cab up, seat bar up, park brake off, no safety features working. Engine runs fine with belt off. Fluids good, fuses good. Looked at wiring seems fine. Need advice. Never a issue before, always worked great. Thanks in advance.
Welcome to HEF Redhead. :drinkup Is this an S250 with either Advanced Hand Controls or Selectable Joysticks?
The bearing on the input shaft for the hydro statics can fail and contaminate the system causing valves to stick(ask me how I know lol). Do you have a minor oil leak near the belt drive?
Selectable controls, ISO or H.
No leaks.
sounds like the pump controller(s) is (are) stuck. : probably full of debris from either the pump or motor :drinkup
Will check them out. Will that cause the safety features to malfunction?
you have what amounts to a mechanical failure keeping the pump at full swash. the engine will start and function normally with the cab up, with the seat bar up and park brake off. not sure what makes you think it wouldnt..:beatsme with the reduced engine rpm, i'd think one brake is locked, and with the machine moving on one side, the other brake is probably destroyed. i suspect a drive motor or brake failure, and contamination made it way back to the pump controller, causing damage to the controller. :drinkup
