Working on a buddies T190 (two sticks for driving and pedals for bucket) with 4600 hours and lots of wear and tear. Works ok when cold, but once warm the hydraulics kick off primarily when trying to drive reverse or do two things at once. Forward seems to work fine, but lifting a loaded bucket can also cause it to disengage and occasionally stall out the engine. About 9 months ago I replaced the case drain filters. Just replaced the drive belt today (thanks for the threads with the how-to on the tensioner). Doesn't always throw codes, but over the past 2 days have gotten the following at various times: 02-16 hydraulic filter not connected 06-13 engine speed no signal (I think it was after it shut itself down) 10-16 hydraulic charge filter not connected 09-21 fuel out of range high (fuel gauge hasn't worked in awhile) 02-17 hydraulic implement filter plugged 10-17 hydraulic charge filter plugged I thought the problems were happening because the drive belt was in pretty bad shape and the tensioner didn't appear to be doing much of anything. But with a new belt and the tensioner set, it still has the same issues. If the filters are that restricted, could it cause the BICS to disengage or is it more likely a sensor related to the seat bar or something that is out of whack? Just trying to see which rabbit hole to go down first. Thanks
Well you can stall out the engine trying to over lift or pushing hard into a pile with out hydraulic issues. When the hydraulics kick off do any lights on the display come on. ? Like lap bar ect? Can you cycle the lap bar, release parking brake and then go back to work ?? If working to functions at once is stalling you out and with those hours you probably need to start getting some pressure readings and see how healthy your pump is. Thats a good place to start with a good baseline of the overall condition of your system. All your codes look suspiciously like an electrical issue. Being that they are sensor related I would start by checking your battery connections and grounds first. Thats where i would start. A good baseline to work off of will keep you from going down most rabbit holes.
Once the hydraulics kick off, the lap bar light is still lit. You can press the button to release the brakes and all the lights on the display come on as if everything is working properly, but when it is really acting up, it just kicks off repeatedly nearly every time you try to back up. Is there a safety switch related to the back-up alarm? It hasn't been working for awhile, but I tried jiggling connectors and wires that were connected to the alarm but it never kicked off. I did replace the filters and I will check the grounds and battery connection to see if that helps with anything. Thanks for the reply
