Brake Fluid

I recently purchased a Case 580 C. Backhoe. The brakes are not working properly and I have ordered new replacement parts for the masters and wheel cylinders. In researching brake repair online it suggest transmission fluid is used in some cases as a brake fluid on some models of Case Tractors. Can someone please help me with this issue. Charles N

    The 580C backhoes used DOT 3 fluid, the change to hyd oils/trans fluids started with the 580D series of backhoe's.
