Hi all, just wondering how many hours is too many in a TL130? I know in the end it all comes down to maintenance but is there any common issues with the older machines? A 130 with 3500hrs has come up cheap and its pretty much the ideal machine for what we do (commercial landscaping) however id been hoping for a 230 or an 8 but theres very few for sale here in aus and most are out of our price range. Is it unrealistic to think i could buy this machine (assuming i find its been looked after when i look at it) and not incur any major repair cost other than regular maintenance? The machine will do around 500hrs a year so i find it hard to justify spending an extra 20 or 30k on a low hour machine if i can get away with something like this. Thanks for all your help Chris.
it really comes down to how it was treated and maintained. are there any service records?
Machine sold before I even got a chance to look at it, guess it was an alright buy! Ah well, back to the search! I think we'll end up with a terex, probably a bit more suited to the work we do anyway and much easier to shift around at under 3t
terex track machine is probably the most expensive track machine to maintain. least reliable.
Yeah im aware of the costs involved, few blokes round here have got them doing similar work to us and have not had an issue, and their low ground disturbance a and travel speed is a massive plus. Anyway, A tl230 has just come on the market with 1400 hrs so ill have a look at that as soon as the fella gets back to me! Im keen on a tak due to their reputation for reliability and strength, even if it is a bit more machine than what we need, but they sell so quickly around here so im gonna jump on this one.
