I have been looking for an excavator in the 18tonne to 27 tonne range for the past year it will be used for the farm. I have driven an excavator only small amount, but have looked at a significant number. However, I am not positive as to how to check these things over. If anyone can provide advice as to what to look for on an excavator, and please tell me more than look at the under carriage, final drives, hydraulic pump etc, I need to know what to specifically look for and the how to check it as good as can be done without getting a shop out to use their gauges etc. Thanks
