Hi guys, Have a pressurised coolant system and very quick overheating C16 motor. Just wondering if there are any tricks of the trade to check prior to pulling the head off for a suspected head gasket? thanks
What machine is this in and what is the serial number of the machine and engine?

I’m overwhelmed with all the details. Meanwhile, I’ll suggest performing a bottle test and getting a quantitative measurement of combustion gas. Does it have an air compressor? Check the air reservoirs for coolant? Radiator cap ok? How hot does it get? Delta T across the heat exchanger? It’s much easier to diagnose while it’s assembled and running than to take it apart and look at the pieces.
Put a radiator pressure tester on it after a bottle test and watch gauge climb. You can buy a Block Tester BT500 from NAPA most stores have them on hand.
