Any idea what the application is for this Allison transmission
Looks like a rear transmission for a double barreled scraper.

is that an ID plate on the back bottom corner
One the guys at the shop also thought it comes from a terex scraper. And there is a Id plate, but it wasn't much help. But this information really narrows it down. Thanks!
front trans from a terex scraper, no retarder , guessing at proberly only 4 foward gears , CLT 5640 ????? numbers on the ID tag will tell you
Most likely a Allison CLT 5860. Need to see pic of control vavle to tell whether it is 4 or 6 speed. Used in Terex Scrapers, steiger tractors, ect.
