Tried to get a old 1150b loader with a 451 engine going it has been parked in the shed for a few years the fuel in the tank looked good and did not smell bad and I was able to pump the primer and bleed the #1 and#2 spin on filters even removed the glass bowl it looked very clean. problem is I could not get any fuel out of the injector lines off the pump or to the injector pretty sure no bio fuel was in it again been sitting for a few years and if I take it off the injection shop will not just clean it they will charge for a .
If you can get to it.. remove the side cover and work the segments back and forth, the pumping plungers are stuck. Another way is, to remove the cap on the front of the pump, screw a 6x1mm screw in the end of the control rack, long enough to grab it w/ some pliers or side cutters and push and pull on it until it frees up.. It helps ALOT if the engine is spinning over while doing these procedures, so a helper will be useful. MAKE SURE you have fuel UP TO the injection pump inlet.. Loosen the inlet line going INTO the injection pump body and use the Hprimer to clear out the air and get fuel there and retighten the line.. THEN work the rack back and forth.. Keep the lines loose at the injectors, spin the engine over w/ the throttle wide open and look for the fuel to squirt out of the lines.. Hope this helps.. TPG
The thing about "just cleaning it".. is it has to come apart to "just clean it".. and that requires many hours of labor, special tools, gasket kits for reassembly and not to mention the knowledge to do it correctly.. OF COURSE their gonna charge you for an overhaul.. cuz that's what they did.. costs [at the fuel shop] anywhere from 800.-1200.00 depending on the condition of the parts inside.. Now if you take it in and tell them your gonna sell the machine and JUST WANT the rack freed-up.. they might charge you an hr. labor.?? Personally I did that at a customers site, afew months ago and charged him 50.00..
IF you have to pull the pump.. contact someone FIRST.. There are real small timing marks that have to be/should be, lined up.. Makes for a real smooth reinstallation..
Hey Thanks I will see what I can do.
