Hey guys, just finishing up my head gasket r & r. Getting ready to fire, but, fuel prime pump not building pressure to get air out of lines. I don't have the parts book for the fuel grouping. Anyone know the part number for fuel prime pump? Caterpillar d9h. Serial no: 90v 2060. ???
If you're going to replace it, you have nothing to lose trying a few things first. Is the priming pump full of fuel? use air pressure in the tank (an air nozzle and a rag in the filler) to push the fuel through. If the priming pump is full but not pumping, blow through it with some or take it apart and clean it up.
