So I was dressing my haul road today with the 1150E and I go to back up and out of nowhere I loose power to my left hand track... I emediatly look down and notice my torque converter/trans temp gauge is running warmer than normal... RH track still has full power in both directions... But left hand track will only stay engaged it you barely give it fuel, as soon as you up the rpm, which in turn ups the trans pressure, the left track cuts out all together... It does this in both forward & reverse and low or high track speed both.. Broken shaft end seals/rings maybe ?... Forward & reverse clutch pack seal ?.. Anyone have any thoughts ?
This problem could be in many places...... what is the driveshaft doing when you are attempting to drive the LHS? when you change gear range or direction, at an idle, does the trans pressure gauge return to the same pressure? & take the same amount of time for each change? do the brake pedals feel the same? The brake spools (RH PIC) in the control valve have springs in the middle of them - possible broken spring or retainer there is an equalizer spool (LH PIC) in the control valve base (access from rear of machine) - check the spring there also check the oil in the final drive & let a little out the drain to see if there are any metal debris..... The higher trans temp maybe the LH brake dragging a little due to spool problem??
make sure all your linkage is free I had 1150g stick and it activated the brake actuator when trying to turn go stop any way couple days of head banging goodluck
Put the shift lever for the good track in neutral and then put the shift lever for other track in forward or reverse, check torque press. gauge, does it show pressure difference if it doesn't then check the seal rings on the clutch shaft. Remove rear cover and then remove cap that cover the affected shaft and check the seal rings. Be sure and watch shims behind shaft cap.
Just wanted to update that this small issue wound up being debree stuck in the brake linkage beneath the floor plate.. So it was keeping the brake power devider applied.
