The governor will separate from the block about 1/8" and rotate but that's it. I need to know the trick and I could use a PDF of this service manual if anyone has one.
Did you ever get it out? Sorry I wish I could remember. I had mine out a couple years ago (gear driven one) I don't remember having any issues getting it out. However once out I took the guts out and put it back on to plug the hole. Mine had blown up inside. pic is from messicks.com
