During the last hard freeze , my engine coolant froze and broke the aluminum oil filter bracket and pushed out several freeze plugs. After some serious internet shopping I found a replacement part for the bracket, I changed it and changed out the freeze plugs, looking over everything and found no other cracks or breaks. New oil n filter n new antifreeze, everything looked good. She started right up. Well in a few minutes , open the radiator and saw oil, checked the dipstick and found water. Apparently there is internal damage, So anyone know of a place to buy a used case 1840 skid steer motor ? Cummins 390 i think it is.
Did you check the oil cooler? Some times when it freezes hard enough to break the cooler housing it will break the block behind the oil cooler. Bob
