Hello all, this unit has 3000 hrs. It’s a 1998. Typically runs and sounds good. I’m getting a lot of white/bluish smoke which has a strong fuel smell. I came across an older post on here that referenced maybe advancing the injection pump timing. Is this something to try before looking at an injector problem ? Thanks
don’t mess with the timing on that style pump.. Get the engine running and move the throttle to get maximum smoke.. Then, crack each injector line 1 @ a time and watch the smoke.. tighten back up and move to the next.. You’re looking for the cylinder that stops the smoke when loosened..
I will do that thank you !
