dakuch ยท 2013-12-19 08:22

On our 1845 the wire broke off of the connector on the wire lume. It is a 2 pin square plastic connector w/lock clip--AMP connector part # DJ623-E3.5 AVS Goes on senor on manifold Does any body know of a source to buy replacement connector to replace? Any body else have problem like this, weight of wire lume hanging on connector/senor, wire broke from vibrations. Don't need all new wiring lume just part to repair bad end. Thanks

Not familiar with your connector but here's a link to one place that seems to have lots of connectors including AMP http://terminalsupplyco.com/Store/Default.aspx?CAT=TERM045&PCAT=25948#Categories

Give these folks a try too. They have had some very hard to find multi-pin connectors for me. http://www.connectorworldsupply.com/

Thanks guys, What I did whats disassemble the connector carefully, there was enough wire to crimp on a shirk butt connector and add a new wire to it. shirk it together and reinstall in the original plastic connector. Then I added a 2 pole weather pac connector to it and on to the wires where they were broken with the extra wire there is no strain on the connection. 8 dollars repair about a 1/2 hour to fix.
