So I am rebuilding a 188D case engine and am currently trying to get new cam bearings in for the new cam I am going to put in. Cam journals on the new cam all measure right around 1.75 and all the cam bearings are around 1.751-1.752 before being installed. after install the get smaller by up .007 thousandths. Manual says anything over 1.755 when measuring bearings is out of spec I am curious if anyone makes cam bearings that are oversize so I don't have to have the new cam turned or should I just go ahead and install the cam bearings I have, (have gotten 3 sets and all seem about same) and measure then have the cam turned. Any advice is appreciated.
