i have a 2009 case 430 with a bad injector pump. does anyone have any info on replacement? setting the timing?
What inj. pump is on it.?? Bosch VE.?? CAV DPA.?? RooseMaster/Stanadyne.?? DBG-DBO-DB2.??
Come on @thepumpguysc ! You should be good at this by now..... Iveco 4.5 ; Bosch VE ; no keyway @toddmhoffman welcome to HEF The engine needs to be set at TDC before pump removal. You will need a gear puller/extractor (380000979) to remove the timing gear from the pump. The replacement pump does require the timing be preset by an injection pump specialist repairer. A Service Manual is the best investment you can make if you are doing this type of repair & need to ask
Lol.. The VE & CAV should have a TDC button under the inj. pump..& MUST BE TIMED BEFORE removal. U push in on the pin while rotating the engine{special tool} until it drops into the TDC Hole..& then u lock the pumps drive shaft.. Then move to the other side & access the spin off cover & pop off the gear..{special tool} The Roosa/Stanadyne has a side cover on the inj. pump that needs to be removed & the engine rotated until the rotating timing line matches the stationary line.. Good luck.
