quick question I fire up my 1987 case 450b dozer let it warm up a second and check the transmission level and at first glance it seems to be overfilled due to Tran fluid all the way up the dipstick, but it’s splotchy and is just drops it doesn’t look like the dipstick was submerged until below the fill line. What could be causing this? Side note tranny seems to be working fine and my trans pressure is stable.
probably just gears splashing it
Transmission on these dozers are checked with engine off because of gear splash onto dipstick.
