Case 450C transmission trouble

I have a Case 450C that's giving me fits. The trans pressure seems like it's always ran a little low, but recently it had a problem with the left side. You could back the machine up in high, and after a couple hundred feet, it would pull down like it was really in a bind. If you declutched the left side, it would free up, but the left side would just freewheel. I assumed it was a clutch problem, so we pulled the transmission, tore it down, and couldn't find anything wrong. Replaced some clutches, brake discs, and seal rings on the main shaft. Put it back in, and still have a problem. The trans pressure is still in the low side of operating range, in neutral, and forward positions, but when you shift into reverse, the pressure drops into the red. Thats with the engine running at a low idle. If you open the throttle just a little, the pressure comes up into the green, but still lower than forward or neutral. WHAT AM I MISSING ???

Welcome to HEF @Danny Harp That's a sad story! There could be an issue with the neutralizing valves located on the front of the transmission control valve - sticking or having gummed up seals. The brake lines are connected to them & as their name implies - they dump pressure & neutralize each side as the brake pedals are engaged. Might also be a good idea to make certain the track front idler bearing is OK. I've seen them act as a brake when the bearing has failed & the machine is operated in reverse.
