We have a Case 580 Super MX ( ser #N4C307153 ) that works great most of the time but occasionally wants to not shift correctly. It seems to be a heat related issue, my guess is a relay or solenoid. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
It seems to act up worse in reverse than forward...If you keep shifting between forward and reverse it will eventually engage.
Can you tell us if you have a powershift or shuttleshift?
I believe a shuttle shift...Forward to reverse lever is on the left side of the steering column...
Have a look at this thread , it discusses 580L with the same transmission. It also looks at other related threads. You need to figure if your problem is electrical or hydraulic/mechanical .....
