While rebuilding the bucket cylinder we discovered that the piston (2 piece) had a chunk of metal missing from the center section. We can either have a new section machined, or try to buy a new piston. We can find a new piston for the 2 1/2 inch rod (G103357), but this cylinder has a 2 inch rod and it seems that no one has a piston for this size rod. We have checked the Case site and Broken Tractor to no avail. A big puzzle is how this piston got this section either worn or corroded out of it. One of the reasons we are rebuilding is that the gland leaked massively, and the gland seals are all brittle and deteriorated after only forty years.
The 2 1/2 rod for the bucket started with the D series, you should be able two get parts still, and may take some home work because a lot of those cylinders may have been re tubed along with the gland made to fit the 2 1/2 larger rod, I will try to look at the online in a few, it may have been replaced with the newer cylinder assembly also. The cylinder gets dinged from hitting things and it looks like someone was in it before by the looks, tube may have been replaced or honed with new packing installed awhile back.
I have found alot on coleman equipment. Dont know if im supposed to say that on here or not, but thats a good place to look for some parts. Not sure about the hydraulic ones though
Hey, I know countylineparts dot com - tacoma wa. has parts. I bought some parts off a 580B they had just broken in Dec.
