hey guys, is there a place I can find the year of manufacture date of the engine on this hoe I bought? The previous owner said he changed it and put one from the later 80's on it and im trying to find out what year it is the number on the tag says 2740072. any advise will be helpful thanks in advance
Not 100% sure how you can get that sort of exact info mikey1. But, the engine S/N you quote above, would mean you have a cast iron intake manifold - alloy intake manifolds came into production at engine S/N 2740820 & machine S/N of 8725448 = 1973. Hope that helps...
