I need some advice regarding the brakes on my Case 580C backhoe. The right hand brake hasn't worked since I bought the machine. I Removed brake housing and found the brake drum assembly & bands soaked with grease / oil which I assume means the seal in the bearing carrier is leaking, correct? Or might there be another reason? I attempted to remove the bearing carrier. I remove the one tapered, counter sunk screw from the bearing carrier but it will not come off, it has only moved about 1/32" at the most. Is there something else holding the bearing carrier in place? Can anyone explain what I am missing? Thanks
