While waiting for injection pump, I decided to look at the fuel tank shut off that seems to always be wet. The valve packing can be tightened up but that will only work so long. If Your original fuel line uses a brass ferrule at the tank shutoff this will work, your original nut should thread on no problem. No need to remove the ferrule. If you have the rubber compression version you'll need to use the nut and ferrule included with the valve. Drain the tank so you can remove the valve. It's a good time to replace the water drain with a drain that has a barb fitting already on it. You'll need 3 things from McMaster New fuel shut off 5049K4 This shut off has buna n seal which diesel will eat in short order. You'll need a viton seal packer ( viton o-ring dash 108 will work also) You'll need to remove the valve needle and swap them out. 1170N49 Water trap drain with barb 4921K43
